Kinesiology Taping commonly referred to as kinesio tape, or Fascial Movement Taping was invented by a Japanese Chiropractor, Kenzo Kase, during the 1970’s. K-tape decompresses fascia and connective tissue. It stimulates the skin and sends a neuromuscular response to the brain. kinesiology Tape re-trains your brain so you have less pain, better posture, and a higher performance!
Kinesiology Tape is beneficial for people who suffer from poor posture and chronic pain. It is also beneficial to pregnant women and athletes! K-tape can also help with swelling and can be used post surgically to reduce edema.

What to Expect
Wear loose, comfortable clothing for your taping session. For example: yoga pants, sweat pants, stretchy skirts, gym shorts, and for women, sports bras. Your therapist will work around your clothing, and will work within the confines of your comfort and modesty.
How to care for Applied Tape
Do not wet for one hour after application. When getting out of the shower, pat the tape to dry. Never use items like a hair dryer to dry applied tape to the skin! Kinesiology Tape will stay on your body for between 3-5 days, (unless otherwise specified.) It can be a more long-term relief for posture problems, and acute pain. When removing the tape, apply baby oil or coconut oil to the tape.
